At FLI-City Studios we believe in the power of the arts to shape the future, enhance the present, and bring perspective to the past. Through movement we have witnessed lives changed. We have seen creativity and expression explode. We have been present as students of all ages conquer their fears, discover their voice, and grow in more ways than they thought possible. We believe that movement moves us to better ourselves. We believe in the importance of accurately represented culture. We believe in community and the power to band together to create amazing things, with encouragement from those around us, sharing our common goals. We believe it is way less fun if we forget to do it with style.

At FLI-City Studios we believe that dance should be available to everyone regardless of income, age, or affiliation.

We offer tuition assistance, unique payment options, and always focus on meeting the student where they are.

We specialize in Breaking (breakdancing) but offer many other styles of dance and movement including: Ballet, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Funkstyles (Popping, Locking, Waacking) Modern, Contemporary, Tumbling, and Parkour.

We are a hub for the hip-hop dance community in Flint and are known for our free Open Sessions every week.

We have monthly battles so students can test their skills against other dancers in our community.

We host movie nights, special events, and do outside performances so students have a chance to utilize their movement outside of the classroom.

We encourage adults to dance and have classes just for them alongside our all-ages classes.
